Classification scheme

Exercise classification based on the PIRA Demonstration Classification Scheme

The idea is to have a flexible system that hopefully is easy to navigate. The classification is rather sparse to accommodate extensions. The first number indicates the top subject (1 = Mechanics) with the letter indicating a sub-subject. The two following give a narrow description. If necessary, a letter may be included last for further limitation.

The classification is intended for the basic structure of exercises on a future Moodle-based repository where registered users can browse and select exercises to download. This means that an exercise may have multiple classifications. Still, the most important issue should be the one that determines the location, but the classification may also be used as a searchable tag.
